Dec 2024 wk 4 "Hunting Season"

Hi!
This month was a great learning experience. I really like the idea of animation. I love making art come to life. I can only imagine how far I could get if I understood a bit more on creating a skeleton, keying timing /distance better and importing rig into Unreal Engines. I am not satisfied with this portfolio but I did take the opportunity this month to get into a discipline that I didn’t know much about. Without steps to outline how to accomplish each goal, I found the work difficult. I tried to teach myself and run through old notes from my animation 1 and 2 class. I could not recollect how to do much and therefore didn’t accomplish what I set out to do. I feel like at this moment I like the way I’m able to create 3D art in Zbrush and Maya. If I could learn animation better like I did this month I might take a bigger liking to it. After my first turn in for “Hunting Season” I learned I was going about the animation for the deer the wrong way and had to correct the footing so that it would look natural. One piece of work that I like and most happy about from Hunting Season, was my environment scene. I was proud how easy of a flow It was to create it and UV. I know If I had time to put a texture on it, I would have been even prouder.

I export the deer into Unreal Engine.

This photo I'm trying to rig this deer and send it into UE.

In this video you can see I had a failed attempt in creating a skeleton to move the rig of the deer.
